Teachers and Students Collaborating Worldwide

Our Approach

Project Read Together is a not-for-profit educational organization. We Provides evidence based, fun literacy instruction to children through community connections. We aim to bring love of reading to students through exposure and kinesthetic movement. We bring literacy to the community by introducing fun multi-sensory based reading activities for children. The aim of Project Read Together is to employ research based reading techniques to assist students in reading confidence and fluency and love of reading. Project Read Together connects teachers, post- secondary education students and k-12 students in the community through engaging literacy instruction and events.

Reading research over the last 20 years has identified the critical skills that students must have very early in reading development to ensure that they can read at grade level by third grade.

These 5 critical skills include:

1. Phonological awareness
2. Phonics
3. Fluency
4. Vocabulary
5. Comprehension

You can read more about these skills in the following tabs.
