Teachers and Students Collaborating Worldwide

Reflecting on effective teaching and realizing that I must be prepared and continue to do homework to be successful.  Chapter ten gave great information reflecting on public education, one size does not fit all, technology, goodness of fit and more.

There are twenty-one tips for a new teacher in chapter ten and I found the Tips for New Teachers very helpful.  The tips help new teacher get started on his/her journey to be a good teacher.  To find out as much as you can about the school you plan to do field work or teaching job.  The one I found most helpful was (Remember that teaching is not telling).  It's not about you, it's about the students, keep the focus on the students, and how to keep the students engage.   There are more being passionate, create and safe environment, plan creative experiences and activities, planning and preparing lesson that the students engage in and listen to the students ideas.  All of the tips where helpful to me I enjoyed reading them and plan to use them.
